Q: Why is the humidity level in my home important?
A: Your home is a lot like your body - it needs to stay properly hydrated in order to maintain the comfort of those living in it. Air that's too dry can act like a giant sponge, soaking up moisture from people as well as woodwork, wood floors and furnishings. Dry skin, chapped lips, dry nasal passages and static electricity are just some of the dry air symptoms that can cause discomfort. Air that's too humid can make you and your home's furnishings feel sticky and uncomfortable. High humidity levels can also be causes for mold and mildew. Consider a Honeywell whole home humidifier or dehumidifier for your specific needs.
